    We came for lunch on a weekday and there was no line. I was a bit skeptical at first but it turned out to be a hit. Good food and good service at decent price.

    I give Sam 5 stars because he always serves me well. The food may not be quite 5 stars but it is good enough for me. The service is always friendly, and the ambiance is that of a neighborhood restaurant. I have eaten Chinese food all my life and in at least 7 different countries. I am not Chinese but because of my experience in China I think I am qualified to talk about Sam's food. First of all the quantity is more than you can eat. I know what to order and that makes everything good. Some of my favorites are sweet and sour fish fillet, salt and pepper pork chops, pan fried noodles and I think Sam's hot and sour soup is about the best I have had. It is peppery, sour, full of egg, tofu, pork, black fungus and bamboo shoots and who knows what else. This is a family restaurant that has been here for as long as I can remember. Do not go to Emperor Palace expecting Haute Cuisine, just go there to eat and enjoy.

    So Far I Have Been To Whole Bunch Chinese Restaurants All Over US States & Some Out Of USA Like Canada, China, & Hong Kong!!!!! I Have eaten here only once this Emperor Palace Restaurant is pretty good the food that I ate here with my family was Beef Chow Fun, Sticky Fried Rice With Chinese Sausage.... If your here in this area of San Francisco Ca USA & Craving for Delicious Chinese Food Try Going To The Emperor Restaurant!!!!!

    Love this place, the food and people! We live near and have had the pleasure of eating inside before the Pandemic. Thank God they stayed in business! They are very fast and authentic with their food. A great value, even if this does not matter to you. Not Asian-fusion, but have a so very "neighborhood friendly" restaurant flavor. Meat and seafood markets are near on Clement so food is fresh. Here's what, easier to order take out only because they are a little short staffed, since four years ago.
